Apple Cash is the money that lives in the iPhone: a stored balance in Wallet that friends send each other inside Messages — the Venmo built into the platform. Daily Cash from Apple Card lands on it, kids get allowance-managed accounts through Apple Cash Family, and since iOS 18's Tap to Cash, two iPhones held together move money with no phone number exchanged.

Apple Cash is deliberately boring infrastructure: U.S.-only, bank-partnered (Green Dot), and unmonetized in itself, existing so that no payment moment inside the ecosystem requires leaving it. With Apple Pay at the register and Apple Cash between people, the iPhone's wallet metaphor closes end to end.
