Apple Store came late to South Korea — 2018, a decade behind Japan — landing on Garosugil in Samsung's hometown market with pointed symbolism. The country's fleet then grew fast: Yeouido (2021), the flagship-scale Myeongdong (2022), Jamsil beside Lotte World Tower, Gangnam (2023), and Hongdae (2024).

All six stores stand in Seoul, serving the world's most smartphone-saturated country on Samsung's doorstep — retail as embassy. Korean launch-day lines at Myeongdong have become part of the local iPhone ritual, and expansion beyond the capital, Busan above all, is the perennial next-store rumor.
