Design: Jony Ive defined two decades of hardware and iOS 7's software turn before leaving for LoveFrom (2019); Susan Kare drew the original Mac's icons; Alan Dye carries human interface design through the Liquid Glass era. Hardware: Tony Fadell fathered the iPod; Jon Rubinstein ran the hardware renaissance; Bob Mansfield shepherded unibody Macs; John Ternus rose from that lineage to the CEO office. Software: Avie Tevanian brought NeXT's OS to the Mac; Scott Forstall built iOS and exited over Maps; Craig Federighi became the platforms' public face.
