Apple Campus — 1 Infinite Loop — was Apple's home for a quarter century: six numbered buildings on a looping private road whose address became the company's return label. The iPhone, iPod, and the Mac's renaissance were all designed here, and "Infinite Loop" doubled as the world's most famous programming joke on a street sign.

When Apple Park opened in 2017 the headquarters moved a mile east, but Infinite Loop remains a working Apple campus — thousands of employees, and the company store where tourists buy the T-shirts that only exist there. In Apple lore it is the garage's successor: the buildings where the near-death company of the 1990s became the Apple silicon empire.
