Apple Fitness+ is the workout service built around the Apple Watch: video classes — strength, yoga, HIIT, cycling, meditation — with the wearer's live heart rate and rings overlaid on screen, closing the loop between the trainer's "push!" and the number it produces. Launched mid-pandemic, it arrived precisely when the living room became the gym.

Fitness+ competes on integration rather than celebrity: diverse trainers, Time to Walk audio episodes, and artist-spotlight playlists from Apple Music, with iPhone-only access added in 2022 to widen the funnel. It is less a Peloton killer than the Apple Watch's content arm — the subscription that turns the health hardware's nudges into programming.
