The Apple H1 renamed the earbud chip family for what it had become: a headphone computer. Debuting in 2019's second-generation AirPods, it answered "Hey Siri" hands-free, switched between devices twice as fast, and cut gaming latency by thirty percent — and in the first AirPods Pro it gained its defining job, running active noise cancellation in real time.
1 Legacy✎
The H1 powered Apple's audio lineup for over three years across five products, the era in which AirPods became a business the size of a Fortune 500 company. Its real-time ANC workload is what the Apple H2 was built to extend into adaptive, health-aware listening.
