Black Desert/Home is the starting point for the Black Desert pages, which cover the world of the franchise, the two games set in it and the systems a player actually uses.

Black Desert is the franchise article, covering both games, their release history and how they relate to one another. Black Desert Online is the original title and the one most of these pages describe. It is a sandbox game on PC and console, built around action combat, a very large map and an economy that players run themselves.
Anyone new to the setting should read those two first. Everything below assumes the world they describe.
Regions is the index of the map, and the individual region articles run from the gentle coast of Balenos through to the end-game country of Ulukita. The conflict the setting turns on — the Republic of Calpheon against the Kingdom of Valencia, over the black stones buried in the Great Valencian Desert — runs through nearly all of them.
For the story behind the map rather than the map itself, Lore, Timeline, Factions and Characters are the places to look.
Combat is covered by Combat, Classes, Gear and Enhancement, and the fighting between players by Node War and the arena modes.
The other half of the game has nothing to do with fighting at all. Life Skills indexes the ten trades a character can take to the top without ever drawing a weapon, from gathering and cooking to sailing and horse training.
Underneath both sits the economy. Nodes, workers and the Central Market are what connect a gatherer in one region to a fighter in another.
This is a work in progress rather than a finished reference. The regions and the life skills are written; much of the rest is still an outline, and a link that leads nowhere is a page not yet started rather than a mistake.
