O'dyllita is the country of the Ahib in Black Desert, the dark elves who were driven out of Kamasylvia and built a kingdom on the ground they were exiled to.
It is deliberately the mirror of the region it came from. Where Kamasylvia is a bright forest under a holy tree, O'dyllita is a dark one under a holy tree of its own, and the two are the same story told from opposite ends.
The region was built for adventurers at the top of the gear curve, and its hunting grounds were among the hardest in the game when it opened.
1 Geography✎
The country lies southeast of Kamasylvia, reached through the ground the Ahib retreated across when they were driven out. It is poorer land than the forest they left.
The Thornwood Forest covers the heart of the region, dark enough that the light through it reads as blue, and the black-stone city of O'draxxia stands behind it. Beyond the forest the ground opens into barren rocky valleys, where the Olluns live in poor circumstances well below the Ahib who rule the region.
2 The exile✎
The Ahib were the radical faction among the Vedir, and they were banished for burning the Kamasylve, the sacred tree of the goddess Sylvia. They followed Viorencia Odore, then the only princess of the Vedir, out of the forest and into empty country.
What they found there was the ruin of an older kingdom called Orzeca. They settled in it, and they had not come away empty-handed: a branch cut from the Kamasylvian tree went with them, and from it they grew Turasil, the Thornwood Tree.
That act defines the region. A people exiled for burning one sacred tree used a piece of it to raise another, and built a second elven kingdom in the shadow of the first.
3 Hunting grounds✎
The three grounds were end-game country on release and remain demanding.
| Ground | What is there |
|---|---|
| Thornwood Forest | The dark wood at the center of the region, held by the Ahib themselves. |
| Tunkuta | Ruins of the old kingdom of Orzeca, overrun and fought over. |
| Olun's Valley | The barren rock country where the Olluns live, and the harshest ground in the region. |
