Riata Vista Circle is Apple's first big home in Austin: the Americas Operations Center announced in 2012 and opened in 2016, which grew into the company's largest site outside California. Its work is the unglamorous machinery of the ecosystem — AppleCare support, supply-chain and finance operations, and engineering teams including silicon work far from Cupertino's spotlight.

= Position =

The campus proved Austin could absorb Apple at scale, seeding the decision to build the far larger [[Austin Campus]] three miles away. Together the two sites make Austin Apple's second city — operations and, at the nearby factory, the [[Mac|Mac Pro]] line that lets Apple say a flagship is assembled in the United States.
