Ulukita, called the Exalted Land, is a stretch of red highland in southern Mediah and the part of the world built specifically for the end of the game.
It is not a country. Ulukita has no crown, no court and no politics of its own, and it extends an existing region rather than opening a new one. What it has is four hunting grounds harder than anything before them, and a set of rules that reward players who fight them attentively rather than quickly.
The region carries the highest entry requirement in the game, and the combat rules of the Valencian desert apply here as well.
Ulukita lies south of Altinova and continues the dry, broken country of Mediah rather than departing from it. Red mesas, cliffs and scrub highland make up most of the ground, cut by canyons and littered with the ruins and machinery of an older civilization.
Asparkan in the north is the only settlement and the way in. It serves as the base adventurers work out of, since nothing else in the region offers shelter.
The region's nodes behave differently from those elsewhere. They yield no production materials and raise no energy limit, and connecting one costs a single Contribution Point. What they give instead is a higher item drop rate at the hunting grounds, which is the only thing anyone comes here for.
All four grounds expect at least 310 attack power, and each is built around a mechanic rather than around raw numbers.
| Ground | What is there |
|---|---|
| City of the Dead | The lowest requirement of the four. Disabling the Tehmelun Messenger, a spellcaster among the beasts, grants a temporary rise in attack power. |
| Yzrahid Highlands | Open highland guarded by Seculion, an ancient weapon that repairs itself and calls in reinforcements. |
| Tungrad Ruins | Demihumans among old stonework. Damaging the Tungrad Visionary to the point of collapse breaks its shield and leaves it open. |
| Darkseekers' Retreat | The hardest of the four, in the south. Sealed artifacts and burning embers scatter and confuse the monsters around them when destroyed. |
Every ground in the region runs on the same idea. A specific enemy or object can be broken at a specific moment, and doing so triggers the Essence of Ulukita, a buff that raises what an adventurer earns for the fight.
The effect is deliberate. Earlier regions reward a player who can survive a zone and keep killing steadily, while Ulukita rewards one who watches for a cue and acts on it. A group that ignores the mechanic can still clear the ground, but earns markedly less for the same time spent.
The region's quest line concerns Prince Bareeds III, the last of the Mediah royal line, who survived the disaster that killed his father and has lived in exile since. Finding him is the object of the main sequence of quests, and the conflict inside what remains of the royal family is what the story turns on.
Access is gated. An adventurer must finish a preliminary quest and have progressed through the first part of the Valencia story before the line opens.
Combat between players is unrestricted in Ulukita, under the same rules that govern the Great Valencian Desert. Pearl Abyss said as much when it announced the region. The choice follows from what the place is for: the grounds are contested, and the people fighting them are the strongest characters in the game.
Ulukita opened on Korean servers on August 10, 2023 and globally on August 23. A third hunting ground and a new stretch of quests followed that November, and the region reached consoles in July 2025.
