watchOS 27 is the upcoming thirteenth release of [[watchOS]], announced at WWDC26 on June 8, 2026, and currently in beta — developer build with the keynote, public beta July 13, 2026, release expected fall 2026. ''Details reflect the beta and may change.''

The release carries the generation's Siri AI to the wrist — the rebuilt assistant handling watch-appropriate actions with on-screen awareness — alongside Liquid Glass refinements, Workout Buddy expansion, Smart Stack intelligence, and the family-wide parental-control suite adapted for managed watches.

Siri AI on watch; Workout Buddy additions; Smart Stack and face refinements; parental controls (Time Allowances and Schedules for Family Setup watches); and performance work. Device support is stated to match [[watchOS 26]].

= Reception (beta period) =

Beta notes focus on Siri AI's usefulness within the watch's interaction budget — brief, glanceable, voice-first — where an assistant that actually completes tasks has the most to offer. This page will need updating at release.
