macOS Ventura (version 13) is the nineteenth release of [[macOS]], shipped on October 24, 2022. Stage Manager brought its focused-window-plus-strip multitasking from iPad to desktop; Continuity Camera made the iPhone a Mac webcam — magnetically mounted, with Center Stage and the Desk View overhead trick — instantly obsoleting a webcam market; and System Preferences became System Settings, an iOS-styled rebuild whose reorganization drew the cycle's loudest professional-user complaints.
