macOS Mojave (version 10.14) is the fifteenth release of [[macOS]], shipped on September 24, 2018. Dark Mode led — a full system-wide dark appearance, arriving on the Mac a year before [[iOS 13]] took it to the phone — alongside the Dynamic Desktop's time-shifting wallpapers and Stacks' automatic desktop-clutter sorting.

It also began two transitions: the first UIKit-derived apps (News, Stocks, Voice Memos, Home) previewed Catalyst's iOS-to-Mac porting path, and a final one-time warning marked 32-bit apps for the death Catalina would deliver.

Dark Mode; Dynamic Desktop; Stacks; Gallery view and Quick Actions in Finder; full-page and timed screenshots; Continuity Camera (iPhone photos straight into documents); the Mac App Store's redesign; and hardened privacy prompts for camera, microphone, and data access.

= Legacy =

Dark Mode became a cross-platform standard within a year, and Mojave's privacy-consent prompts began the permission-dialog era of desktop computing. As the last macOS to run 32-bit software, it remains the archival stop for a generation of abandoned apps and games — the Mac's Windows XP.
