The Apple S10 kept the [[Apple S9|S9]]'s architecture — dual [[Apple A16|A16]]-class cores, 4-core Neural Engine — and re-engineered the package itself, going thinner to help make the Series 10 the slimmest Apple Watch built. The silicon budget went to fit, not speed, enabling on-device sleep apnea detection along the way.

= Legacy =

Still current: in a first for the line, Apple shipped no new S chip in 2025 — the Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3 all run the S10, stretching one SiP across four watches and two years. Whether the S series resumes its annual cadence is a question for the next September event.
